The
College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) has focused in 2017 on the restructuring of its academic programs to be more competitive and to shorten students’ time to graduation. The main change is that each program would have a no-concentration degree plan with a base of core courses that would encompass the academic and professional skill competencies required in the discipline. Students who wish to specialize will have professional concentrations to choose from. News from and updates to the programs:
Our Homeland Security (HLS) Programs (
BSHLS &
MSHLS) - under Dr. Rudolph Bustos, have demonstrated wonderful growth that exceeded even our own conservative forecasts! Emergency and Disaster Management (EDM) of natural disasters was developed and incorporated as a specialty concentration under the HLS programs at both levels, to complete and complement the program.
The Health Administration Department - under
Dr. Gayl Anglin, has launched the new
Bachelor of Science in Health Administration (BSHA) degree program, to augment the current Master program, and in 2018 we will see additional launches of BSHA concentrations.
