Issue No.10         June  2017

Trident University International provides an exceptional online educational experience for its students – diverse adult learners including current and former members of the military family.
Adhering to the highest standards of academic excellence, faculty and staff foster a learning community where students develop critical thinking and problem solving skills to enhance their lives and advance their careers.

Do You Have Our App?

app.jpgWe are excited to announce a major update to our mobile app. First launched in 2014, this free app is available for Apple (both iPhone and iPad) and Android devices.
With a focus on enhancing the student experience, we wanted an app that would facilitate communication, streamline access to the Trident Learning Community (TLC), and provide a central location for the academic calendar, social media accounts, and University news.
“Our students tend to have a full-time job in addition to their classes, so they rely on their smartphones for communication and accessing TLC,” said Vahid Shariat, Trident’s Chief Information Officer. “This update gives students increased options and the ability to quickly access the most important Trident services. We will be adding new features every quarter to enhance the student and faculty experience while using TLC.”
Since we have a large adult and military-affiliated student population spread out across the globe, connectivity and ease of access were important factors addressed in this update. No matter where students are located, they will be able to access the information that they need.
Trident’s mobile app can be downloaded from the Apple store and Google Play for Android devices.

Alumni Community

Your Alumni Association hosted events in both Austin, TX and Norfolk, VA in the month of May, and had a great time celebrating grads and giving back.

On May 25th, we welcomed 10 Graduates into our association while attending the Hampton Roads military graduation ceremony in Norfolk, VA. Before the ceremony, we gathered together for a celebratory luncheon. They were a great group and we are extremely proud of their accomplishments!

On May 26th, we came together for a community outreach event at the VA Outpatient Clinic in Austin, TX. Due to Trident staff, faculty and alumni support, we were able to prepare and distribute nearly 500 hygiene & snack bags for Veteran’s in need. It was a great way to kick of Memorial Day weekend and give back to a community where so many of our students and alumni reside.

Stay tuned for more events in your community. Should you have any recommendations, reach out to
